Terms & Conditions

  1. Registration must be done by 23 October 2012, 2359 GMT+8. Online applications received after the stated date and time will not be accepted.

  2. Applications must be complete with all relevant documents submitted. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

  3. All registrations done online are free of charge. On-site registration will be charged at 700pesos per application.

  4. Only 150 slots per day are available online. Registration will be on a first come first served basis.

  5. Participants are to adhere to the criteria of each category. Those who do not do so will be disqualified.

  6. Participants may join both the Open Category and Shanda Games Category.

  7. Participants joining the Shanda Games Category must choose to represent either a character from Dragon Nest SEA OR Gundam Series.

  8. Only Participants 12 years and below at the time of the registration are allowed to compete for the Chibi Award in both the Open and Shanda Games categories.

  9. Participants may provide a CD soundtrack to be played during the judging performance, with the following specifications:
    i) The soundtrack should be in .MP3 format
    ii) It consists of a single file only
    iii) The soundtrack is no longer than 5 minutes

  10. Each Participant is limited to only 2 minutes to perform a skit/catwalk during the judging performance. Should a Participant exceed the allocated time, 10 points per exceeding minute will be deducted from his/her total score.

  11. Participants are allotted a maximum of 5 stage props and shall be held responsible for securing their props at all times. For safety purposes, all stage props should not exceed more than 2 meters height X 2 meters length X 2 meters depth.

  12. Participants are held responsible for their props at all times. Any sharp and/or metal and pyrotechnic costume props are not allowed. Props which are deemed to be able to cause mess and/or damage to the stage and/or surrounding areas are also not allowed.

  13. Participants who perform skits which are deemed lewd, obscene and/or inappropriate will be disqualified.

  14. The Organizer and its partners shall not be held liable for any damage, injury and/or death sustained during the event.

  15. Participants are allowed to have off-stage Assistants, limited to 1 person per team. Assistants are required to be with the respective Participant(s) and shall not be allowed to loiter backstage. Assistants are not allowed to assist the respective Participant(s) on-stage during the judging performance. Assistants deemed to be breaking any rules can be a basis for disqualification.

  16. All Participants must report to the Cosplay Holding Area for verification purposes by 11am on the day of their respective categories. Late-comers will be disqualified.

  17. All Participants must be present in the Cosplay Holding Area in full costume by 1pm on the day of their respective categories for the judging performance. Late-comers will be disqualified.

  18. Participants can only win once and in either category (Open or Shanda Games) only.

  19. Craftsmanship (50%): Workmanship and accuracy of the costume; - Performance (35%): Production of performance, creativity and entertainment value; - Resemblance (15%): Similarity of overall appearance to actual character Overall Score: 100%

  20. The Judges’ decision is final. No appeals will be entertained.

  21. Registration and participation in the Cherry CosFiesta @ PGF 2012 constitutes that the Participant gives the right and authority to the Organizers, its staff, partners, sponsors and authorized press media to take pictures and/or videos of registered cosplayers, cosplay groups and its members. All said pictures and/or videos will be the sole property of the Organizer, its staff, partners, sponsors and authorized press media to be used for future publications and/or advertising promotions.

  22. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
